Omron HJ-112 Pocket Pedometer Review

You can never have too many pedometers, but when I found out about the new Omron HJ-112 digital pocket pedometer, I doubted my first statement because the features of the Omron make it look like the ultimate pedometer.

I’ve tried a lot of pedometers in my years of jogging, and there’s always something short of a feature or a quality in every pedometer I’ve used. It easily breaks or it’s not accurate, or it takes too much effort to carry it while jogging. Something always gets in the way. But still that doesn’t stop me from trying out new products which are potentially better than the previous one I’ve used, even if sometimes they don’t.

When I saw the Omron HJ-112 in the store and read the features, I was a little doubtful but I still gave it a try. It said that I don’t even have to place it next to a belt or any outside garment for it to work. It said that I can even just dump it inside my pocket and it can monitor perfectly and accurately. Of course, I wanted to prove this true myself, so what I did was I got the Omron in one pocket and then had another pedometer I won’t name attached to my belt. After a two-hour jog, I was amazed that the Omron keeps true to its word. Not only is it more accurate, but it’s so convenient and hassle-free I forgot it was there.

In the past, the pedometers attract too much attention, like they’re an old-school beeper or a really high-tech cell phone, both of which I don’t want to be associated with, for different reasons. But the Omron HJ-112 really has proven that it’s probably the best in the market right now. And that’s not to say that it isn’t affordable, because it is. It’s perfect for people who want to keep it simple and want to have something dependable and has a high quality.

With all the pedometers I’ve tried before, I can’t think of a better product to match up against the Omron HJ-112 digital pocket pedometer. It’s perfect for me, and I’m sure also for everyone else who wants their life made easier.
